"A Life Fulfilled" The story and Inspiration behind the art

"A Life Fulfilled" The story and Inspiration behind the art

"A Life Fulfilled" is a commission painting that was requested by a local Cancer Researcher.

She originally came to me because of my linework and how it reminded her of her scientific studies with the lines moving across the art like some organic compound. Especially the way organic matter intertwines with DNA strands.

Throughout the process, I kept her in the loop, sending her pictures and videos of my progress. We worked together and she inspired me to create a background that was full of movement and that blended together to create a ombre gradient effect.

I am grateful to have worked together with her to create artwork that had an empowering meaning.

Here are some tips and tricks I've learned through my many failed attempts of adding resin to my finished paintings. I wish I had this information when I first started out with resin.
